I don’t know about you, but one of my favorite subjects in school from elementary through college was history. And I treat the Bible like one gigantor history and future history book! I could literally spend hours going over the various online and mobile apps that I love to use for biblical references.  A lot of these are just so dag gone easy to use!  Do you need to flip to a verse quickly to read along but don’t have the time to flip through your physical Bible before the person starts reading? Need to know which book and chapter a verse is in but can only remember the verse?  Or even worst, let’s say you can only remember part of the verse?  This is where these tools are crazy helpful!  You are able to dial right into a verse and you can choose from numerous translations!

Which brings me to another point, wanting to try another translation, but you don’t necessarily want to take the leap and buy a translation that you might not like, agree with, or understand? These online tools have you covered! Bible Study Tools: http://biblestudytools.com This site offers various Bible translations, a verse of the day, verses by topic, reading plans, parallel Bible,  commentaries, lexicons, sermons, concordances, a free prayer guide and much more!

Blue Letter Bible: http://blueletterbible.org This site offers various Bible translations, study guides, devotionals, commentaries, FREE bible courses, LexiConc, charts and outlines, timelines, maps and images, women’s resources and much more! If you are needing an exegetical analysis here’s your one stop shop.

The Bible Project: http://bibleproject.com This site offers free Bible videos, Bible study tools and other biblical resources.  If you love animation or watching the word of God come to life, or just need a quick understanding of a book in the Bible, look no further!  These guys have you covered!  And the cool part is everything is absolutely FREE! I don’t know about you, but I love free-ninety-nine!

Bible: http://bible.com This site offers more than 1,200 Bible versions in over 900 languages on your computer, tablet or phone.  If get like myself sometimes and your eyes are just too tired to read they offer amazing audio Bibles as well.  You can highlight or bookmark verses, go through reading plans and devotionals, you can even team up with a friend or friends and share your progress! Overall just a wonderful, free site and app.

E-Sword: http://e-sword.net  This Bible study software includes everything you need; commentaries,  graphic viewer, Strong’s tool-tips, scripture tool-tips, reference library, parallel Bible, dictionaries, powerful searches and an integrated editor to add notes, journaling or sermons! Disclaimer, this software isn’t online. Originally it was for PC’s only but they now offer software applications for Mac, iPad and iPhone.  Best part? You got it! FREE-ninety-nine!

Step Bible: http://stepbible.org If you’re looking for a simplified alternative to Logos (not currently on this list due to the STEEP pricing and learning curve) with simple Greek tools here’s your place! Also of course it’s totally free!

Audio Treasure: http://audiotreasure.com Visit this site to listen to audio Bible in different languages.  You can download or listen online! They even offer hymns and worship songs. Again all totally FREE!

Bonus honorable mention: Now this isn’t technically a “bible study tool” but it’s totally awesome sauce and I had to mention it.  If you haven’t already downloaded the app, watched it on Freeform TV or YouTube, you should definitely go check out – like right now, “The Chosen”.  It’s the first ever multi-season TV show about the life of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.  Click here for Apple devices or here for Google devices
